A disturbing sight
Discussion
Hi
I'll start off by saying I'm not a regular visitor to this area of the PH forum, although my wife has had a couple of MX5s and has had her current mk2 since new. A great little car which we both love, the MX5 fully deserving of the following and reputation built up by its loyal fans over the years.
Imagine our horror finding this in a local filling station. We couldn't pull up directly behind it for fear of embarrassing ourselves with uncontrollable laughter (the owner was clearly beyond embarrassment).
Edit: plate hidden to protect the guilty

I had a double-take for a second, thought it was a twin of this one:
Waimate 50 by Ben
(which at least is used properly and has a turbo to justify the wing)

ROFL, is that even legal? The overhang on those end plates could do considerable damage to pedestrians.
I think it was wider than the mirrors! I stood behind the guy whilst waiting to pay for fuel (he actually looked quite normal) and he was looking to the forecourt as my wife walked around it for a look. I really wonder what he was thinking at that time:"is she impressed, is she, is she, she surely is…"
