Visited Goodwood breakfast club today and as it was Soft Top day I went in my MX turbo powered special that I built.
Suddenly I noticed a black MX5 with twin exhausts that sounded gorgeous and on further inspection and enquiring found out why, it was fitted with a 250 bhp Jag V6 mill (based on Ford Mondeo engine).
It sat in the engine bay looking like it was meant to be there and is set back a little and being alloy blocked does not affect the handling.
I would LOVE one like it!
Sorry that I have no pictures as I had no camera.

Hi Tracker Jack. Glad you liked the MXV6. The plan is to be able provide a kit of parts to enable people like yourself to build one just like it. Everything you need to do the conversion in a weekend including a plug and play ECU. You'll just need to source yourself an engine of which there are plenty. Watch this space!

Any more info or pics?Quite interested in this if it isn't too difficult. Seems a good way to get a reliable 250hp, with a glorious sound aswell.

Any more news/info on this please?Sorry for the radio silence.
I'm just a humble designer and the whole social media thing is not my forte.
The car is undergoing development. We've done loads of miles and identified lots of improvements that will find their way onto XP2
At the moment it's just Instagram and Twitter. Just pictures on there. Rocketeer_Cars on Instagram. And @rocketeerltd on Twitter.
Let me know if you want more details

Sounds cool. But how much bigger would an AJV8 be? Or an LS1? Probably not enough to notice and a lot more power.Suddenly I noticed a black MX5 with twin exhausts that sounded gorgeous and on further inspection and enquiring found out why, it was fitted with a 250 bhp Jag V6 mill (based on Ford Mondeo engine).
