Hi can someone point me in the direction of how to run a usb stick from the aux input of my 2012 Bose system ?

I plan to try and use a usb memory stick with songs on but believe that it's more than a simple lead as the usb needs power to run it also, no ?

Thanks
Ian

Thanks for the quick reply but I have at least 20 x usb sticks with 100's of tunes on, would be a pain to transfer them all to an Mp3 player confused

Ok well you need a music playing device that can either be powered from the lighter socket, or has it's own internal power and you have to recharge it. And in your case you want it to have a USB socket.

It's not a simple cable solution.

Simple answer is that you can't run a USB stick from an Aux socket.

Less simple answer is above from Munter. You need to put them onto a device which can play them via the Aux socket.

Yes, that was my plan, transfer on to phone and play them from that !
Or can they be played via bluetooth?
