My 1998 MK2 is needing a new exhaust. Looking at a stainless Cybox on ebay for 200 quid. Anyone bought one of these and know if they are any good. Car only does 4-5 trackdays a year and odd use on road so thought stainless the best option so it doesnt become a pile of rust while parked up.

I'd just get the MX5 parts one from here:

Same price and a known product - have one on my MK1 and it sounds great - not too loud.
As for performance gains, minimal if any like with any exhaust I would imagine.

The MX5Parts exhausts are well made, nice pieces of kit. I have one of the twin-exit ones and it sounds nicely fruity without being obtrusive or offensive

MX5 Parts! I bought one for wife's Mk2.5, as the original silencer(rear) was coming apart. I think it was on sale, but an easy fit and a nice noise without being a loudener like you see on hopped up Corsas etc.
