Where do you get yours done?

Halfords?
Kwik Fit?
Main dealer?
Indy?
DIY?

Any idea what I should be paying?

Easy DIY job if your half capable, but should be cheap at an Indy too.

Only thing that would make me more inclined to do it myself would be to control what gets fitted.

Only have experience of mk1 and 2 - but cheap pattern discs with genuine pads always seems to be the sweet spot for cost/performance.

I thought about doing it myself but don't fancy lying on my driveway in this weather.

MX5 parts.com often do good deals on pads and discs.
Pretty sure I sorted out non genuine discs with EBC pads (just fronts) for around £100

Should get your local independent to fit them in less than an hour.

The screws which hold the discs on can/will be seized so are a potential pain in the arse for someone who isn't used to doing this sort if stuff regularly, so probably best not tackle it yourself if you're not confident.
When they replace the diss, there is no need to put the screws back, they're only there to stop the discs falling off at assembly.

I bought a set of aftermarket discs + EBC pads for £109 for front and rear.

Genuine Mazda parts will set you back an additional £110 or so.

It's a simple job so if you don't fancy doing it yourself any decent indy will be fine. They aren't anything special that needs specialist knowledge.
