Alright there

Are they any car covers out there that i could use that wont make my clearcoat go cloudy or scratch the st out of it or make the interior mouldy? Its difficult to tell if there are any good ones out there.

The cars stored in a concrete prefab garage thats got ongoing issues. I've had a 10 inch concrete base laid in to stop water coming in on the floor from all sides (which has worked and solved the ground level issue) and had the corrugated roof sealed up with bitumen paint. unfortunately this has somehow solved the initial roof leak complaint but now water is dripping on the side of the entire roof like its raining inside. Fail my life.

Its leaving some hideous water marks on my paint thats only a few months old and want to protect the paint from being damaged.

I'll get the roof replaced soon but in the mean time looking for a genuinely decent breathable car cover. Any suggestions ?

Cheers

Steve

I'll be watching this with interest! My parents are after a car cover for their MK3 MX-5; one that's waterproof and can breathe somewhat ...

I have a Classic Additions Ultimate outdoor cover on my Honda S2000. I bought it at Goodwood last September and have had it on the car, parked on the drive, since winter set in. It's proved to be much better than the lighter weight cover I had previously on my MX5 (can't remember the make). On that cover one of the straps tore away and it always felt as though it wouldn't take much to blow away. Also, it was not kind to the paintwork. By contrast, the Ultimate is heavier and more substantially made. It's multi layered and has proved to be both waterproof and scratch resistant. It's not specifically tailored to the car but is a good fit nonetheless, covering everything right down to the ground. I'd certainly recommend it.

The Cover Zone range are very good. Had 2 of them on different cars. The Stormforce is the one to go for as I found the Monsoon one caused condensation as it didnt breath very well (the Monsoon is a winter cover really I think).

Car covers a fairly snug fit but looks very well made and has multiple straps so it's not going anywhere. Happy so far with it!

That's a relief - it's a bit of a worry when you recommend something and the other person then acts on your recommendation!

Still very happy with my Ultimate cover.
