I'm looking for a Mk1 to replace my crap-box Fiesta so I can at least have fun on the weekends. Ideally looking to spend 2-3k but may push it to 4k if the right car comes along. I've been in touch with Steve at Goodwood Sportscars in Berwick as he seems to have good cars and seems to have good press on Nutz forum at least.

Anyway he has a couple of nice V-specs in and I'm gutted that I just missed the R-ltd he had in by a day or so. I had an LSD in my NC and I'm keen to have a torsen NA as well but am I being over-precious? Are they all good fun to drive and I should just grab one of the V-Specs? I think they have the old Diffs in them but am assuming that they'll be essentially open by now anyway - is that a safe assumption?

Also, does anyone know of any other reputable dealers closer than Berwick? I'm in Surrey FWIW

Cheers in advance

Phil

The 1.6 optionally had a viscous LSD whilst the 1.8 optionally had a Torsen LSD. If it's a 1.8 V-Special with a LSD, then it will be Torsen.
