CM have been developing this Rotrex kit for over a year, my car has the Stage 1 kit with a PPE catted header. The rest of the car is standard.
The Stage 1 will develop 230/250 bhp (210lb/ft) depending on exhaust.
The Stage 2 is good for 280/300bhp but will need exhaust & fuel module.
Stage 1 is £4995 fitted inc VAT.
Stage 2 price TBC.

I do not work for CM just a satisfied customer. The car is an absolute blast.

Full details will appear on their website shortly.

There was a company making a Rotrex kit for the Mk3 when it first launched. They were going to do kits from Mk1/2 too. I can't remember who it was but they were known for S2000 Rotrex kits. They disappeared quite quickly, I think there were issues with it...

Kraftwerks in the US have been doing kits for the NA & NB for years & have just launched their NC kit. I dont know of anyone in the UK, can you be more specific before saying you 'think' there were issues with it.

I'd be more specific if I knew any details at all. All I know is that someone was trying to sell them over here, I saw one fitted to a Mk3 at Santa Pod. I heard that there were issues with it, probably more due to the engine management than the Rotrex itself though might have been a problem with the fitting.
I think the whole concept died off due to the fact that a turbo or SC is simpler, cheaper and usually more effective.
It's good to see someone is pushing on with it though, it would be good to see what could be done with one compared to the usual TC/SC routes.

It's Kraftworks, and they have a horrific reputation in the US. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

I don't think the Rotrex concept is dying off Lazza, in fact the roots blower seems to be at least in MX5 land. The MP62 is FAR too expensive, there are no aftermarket kits available for it barring the FFS.

The MP62's replacement, the TVS it only just available in generic form and is no cheaper, plus even the efficiency of the latest TVS only just touches on the efficiency of the worst turbo's available. Add it all together in an environment where economy is more paramount and it just becomes a less viable option.

I didn't mean the whole Rotrex concept was dying off, just as an MX5 kit, probably because to be adopted by enough people to make development worthwhile they had to try to match the various SC & TC kits already out there, many of which are relatively cheap. I know it's a fairly established route for more power on some other cars.
Now that more owners are wanting to modify Mk3+ which has far fewer choices when it comes to FI, especially at lower prices, it will make a lot more sense to develop a new kit.
