Tear in roof - do i need a new roof?

Morning all, I have a 2006 mx-5, for the past few months I have had a noticeable tear in the roof lining on the drivers side. As far as I can tell the seal with the window is still intact but it looks bloody horrible. The roof material has come away from the seam and split slightly.

Now, my question is, is this realistically going to be repairable? Or is a new roof in order?
