Fuel smell help needed
Discussion
My daughters Mk 2 stinks of fuel and has done so since she recently bought it. I have just removed the boot liners and have tightened both ends of the large fuel filler hose in the boot which were really quite loose. I want to check the lines to the fuel pump under the parcel shelf. The plastic grommets fixing the shelf carpet though are not the centre pull type used in the boot and I do not want to damage them when I remove them. Is there a trick to it or is it brute force and ignorance?
