New 25th Edition delivered to dealer, a little confused now.

Was wondering if anyone could help with a numbering question on these cars.

My car arrived at the dealer the other day, went out to see it and noticed this:



According to everything I've read, magazines, media, even Mazdas official website, they have only made 1000 of these cars, with 750 coming to the UK. I phoned Mazda UK but they were none the wiser either.
So I'm a bit confused as to why mine is numbered higher than this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think there was a last minute change, the original press release showed there was 1000 cars but it has since been updated and there is now 1099 cars... I have car number 914 in Australia!

Thank you for that, just looked on Mazdas Australian website and it does say 1099 to be made now. Puts my mind at ease now!
