Having a brand new car is great in itself, bit like flying club class rather than Ryan air as is buying some 2nd hand "beast" from a guy working from a portakabin. So nice work sister.
And getting one of those too considering past buying history, she was probably smiling ear to ear all day.
She probably still is talking about it. Shut up !

We're not quite there yet.....collecting on Monday...should have been today, but she had to go into work, and it would all have been a bit of a rush.... Monday she has a day off so she can enjoy the moment....And getting one of those too considering past buying history, she was probably smiling ear to ear all day.

We're collecting at 9.30, then heading off over N. Wales for a drive out

Very nice, I'm actually waiting for mine to be delivered too. Been about 3 weeks now.
Went into the showroom just for a look about with a vague view to buying a new car. Ended up putting a deposit down. Never had a new car before so I'm pretty excited!
Hope she enjoys the car

Have to say, I drove the black one to the dealers, and the new one away, there is quite a difference in how they drive.. I know the old one was 12 years old, but in those 12 years it seems everything, just works better...
We got 39mpg on the drive home too

Hi Quinny
Just a quick question if I may, I own No 0114 and had it supagarded at the dealership. The paint is stunning and I really want to look after it so I was wondering what sealing the paint is ? And why you had a brand new car valeted ? Is there something more I can do on top of the Supagard for extra protection ?
Ta very much

I spoke to my detailing guy about this, and he said please please don't get it super guarded at the dealers....it's just not good value, and they generally don't do the prep to get the sealant to work properly...Just a quick question if I may, I own No 0114 and had it supagarded at the dealership. As I say, my chap worked solid for over 8 hours.....and most of that was prep work....cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. Then he clay bar'd to remove all contaminates, then seal, and a final wax polish....
I couldn't do what he does, I'd be knackard...
The idea was to get it as good as it can be right from the start....in the hope that it'd offer good protection for winter, and make it easier for my sister to keep tip top....
As for anything on top of the supra gaurd...can't help I'm afraid....my advice would be speak to a proper valeter, that does this all the time..
Thanks for that, good answer.
I must admit to being very dubious about getting it at done at the dealers but it was only £207+vat for inside and out and it just made sense at the time.
The car did come out shinning though but I very much doubt it was 8 hours worth, it was done by a 3rd party valet apparently and they do guarantee it for 3 years on new vehicles. They also said they'd re do the boot after I de badge it.
You're right to go to the ninth degree to protect the paint though. I've already found out how thin that top coat is.
I hope your Sis is loving it...........

I went to the dealers to tire kick and test drive before buying private, that was my plan.
Damn Soul Red Metallic and 0% finance........ Happy as Larry now though..... Mine will be at the BBR stand @ Gaydon tomorrow for the OC and MX-5 Anniversary.
