Well you can buy them pre-made. They're pretty easy to fit. I put one on my Mk 2.5.

E.g. http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/black-intake-grille-mk12...

Or to make your own:

Thanks for the links smile

Problem i have is i have JDM Bullet fogs installed and an intercooler so a standard bolt on grill wont fit - i had an mx5 parts one until the fogs went on.

Just going to fix some mesh behind the fogs with some epoxy or something smile

If it's for a forced induction car you need all the cooling you can get so I wouldn't fit one of the pressed steel grilles. The woven mesh grilles are more expensive but flow a lot better.

ETA: My Mk2.5 has a woven mesh grille and a TDR FMIC. They mount a lot further forward than the pressed steel ones. Not sure about the fogs though.

Lazza i had the black one of the exact grill you mention. It wouldnt fit as the fogs occupy a lot of the mouth. I'd have to cut it up so much it would have lost any rigidity and be useless smile

Was thinking about a black aluminium mesh (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALUMINIUM-BLACK-MESH-GRILLE-VENT-BUMPER-MAZDA-323-626-MX-5-MIATA-RX-8-MX-3-01-B-/151394991887?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item233fd83f0f) bonded on shaped around the back of the fogs. The goal here is to protect the intercooler from stones rather then styling.

I don't think there is a black version of the ones I'm talking about. It's woven mesh, not pressed steel or "stretched" (I can't think of a better word for it) like what you have linked to.

I can't find a good picture of mine but this gives you an idea of how mine fits:

The type of grill is irrelevant really - nothing will fit because of the fogs. I just want to put something between the fogs and intercooler and this seems like the best option smile
