So a couple of weeks ago my MX5 was my travel companion for two weeks, beginning with a work trip to derby then Windermere, then a weeks holiday driving the absolute cream of the Highland's roads, a cross country jaunt back south to the final event, the MX5OC track day at Blyton Park. Pretty much motoring nirvana...
Back to work in central London and have been train commuting. Pretty much my first sit back in my daily driver, and oh my god, it feels like driving a bus! It's only a Fabia, but feels like I need an extra category licence, the driving position is so high even with the seat and wheel cranked as low as possible and it's so quiet, effortless and soulless. Ok it is significantly quicker when you put your foot down but there's no drama to the speed.
Hmmm, perhaps my 20 year old lowered Japanese roadster with fruity exhaust needs to be my daily driver.... Is this reverse man maths?!

I have had a Mk2.5 as my daily car since March 2009 and have done just under 60,000 miles in that time. Ok not the cheapest thing to run doing that distance and milage but I love it and wouldnt want anything else. I figure if I spend so much time driving to and from work I may as well be sat in something that makes me smile.
