Eunos Roadster Mk1 - ADVICE.
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Last Sunday I bought myself a nice little imported Eunos Roadster. It's fun to drive and looks the part but to be honest, I'm just not sure if it's for me.
My original intention was to build the car into a fun little drift machine I could use over summer and then bosh a hardtop on for the winter but after driving it for a week I'm not 100% sure if I want to keep it, however, everyone I speak to seems to think I'd be stupid to get rid of my Eunos, I mean I know they're RWD and they're good reliable cars but really what's the big deal with these little speed demons? What makes them so different to every other car?
A few people I know own them and they sound and look amazing once they've received an Exhaust, induction kit and a nice set of alloys.
I really am in two minds whether or not to keep this car, they look so good when they're done up.
Are there any other MX5 owners here? What's your thoughts? How have you got on with your car?

I like my mk 2.5. I seem to be in the relative minority of MX5 owners that I prefer the curves of the MK2 over the popup headlights of the MK1.
I thoroughly enjoy driving it, and I bought it initially as an alternative to my motorcycles as I can't take my son (who's 3) pillion.
The only thing I felt it was lacking was the poke of more powerful cars such as the S2000 or Boxster, but I prefer the simplicity of the MX5, which also lends itself nicely to be something I can work on myself.
As a result, it's now in it's second stage of being supercharged, with an intercooler, new ECU and larger injectors going in and should be back on the road in a few weeks. Can't wait!
It's just an honest-to-goodness, proper little sportscar. Just don't spoil it with stance and plastic stick-on bits.
