If it's notchy and stiff you probably need new gearbox boots too

All of the above. I'd go with the Syntrans linked by Cardo. If you had more time I'd recommend Redline Synthetics (great stuff) but that would be an ebay order so would probably not be here by the weekend. The boots and the nylon cup will probably need doing while you are in there.
As you have a 2.5 Sport you'll have the 6-speed 'box so you can do the refill from the turret (i.e. where the gear-stick goes in) which is much cleaner than trying to use the refill plug hole. It also means that you don't have to worry about 90cc of oil in the turret - that's a 5-speed gearbox only requirement.
I'd replace the dif' oil too. Again I'd recommend Redline for your car (Redline 75w/90 for the dif and Redline MTL (which is also a 75w/90) for the gearbox).

Cheers all. Got the syntrans after didn't realise it had changed name hence me looking for the wrong stuff. Diff oil is also being done. The linkage linked above is on the to do list but I'll do that myself.
Its misfiring when revving currently and rocking the car. Looks quite funny but drinking fuel. Thinking maf or 02 as plugs and leads were done last year.
List is never ending
