A review on your Radiator.

I am looking for some helpful insight into how you rate the efficiency of the radiator in your Mazda mx5.
I am working on a new design, which looks at a new material and a new system but Id like to know if your radiator is causing any problems in your Mazda currently, or even if you have replaced it?

How would I rate it?
I guess I'd create some kind of rig where I could measure the temperature of the inlet and outlet while driving the car, then decide if it was doing a good enough job.

1. On a scale of 0 (car over heats), to 1 (car does not overheat).
I have to say your post seems very odd. Most people don't know anything about how efficient the radiator is...why would they? They simply know it either works, or it doesn't. And generally they work.

The standard radiator is more than good enough for normal applications. I run a boosted 5 and never had a problem with overheating. My original radiator as just developed a hairline crack in the plastic so I'm about to replace it with a fast 5 alloy rad as they have a bigger core and no plastic bits. I think a bigger problem is the circulation of water through the block. There is a coolant re route that improves water circulation to the 4th cylinder. Take a look on mx5 nutz for more info.
