I'm seriously considering buying one of the above towards the end of the year.
Personally, the appeal of the screaming engine in the Jota is edging it a little...
But for the same money which is the 'better' choice; which would you buy, and why? smile

Personally I'd go for the flexibility the torque of the turbo gives but that's just me. I can see the appeal of a screaming engine too but not so much in a road car.

I guess it depends in some respects on how much you're going to use it and for what purpose. As a daily driver I'd take the BBR, for a weekend toy I'd take the Jota.

Of course you could always buy the Jota and then take it to BBR? biggrin

I've driven the BBR, but have only seen a concept/mockup Jota.

I couldn't see any real benefit in the Jota, given that the price tag of each is basically the same. The BBR has a lot more power for the same money.

There is another option - buy a second-hand car and get the BBR kit fitted to it. Load of fun, for less upfront cost.

I would opt for the Jota GT for it's exclusivity & Recaro seats

Thanks for the comments. I'm hopefully going to have a chance to visit Lodge Mazda next week. I think the Jota is a little more appealing as I don't want to go too mental with power... Just wonder if it would ruin the car. scratchchin

You should test drive both and then decide.

Test driven a Jota... It was rather nice! wink
I think it has exactly the right amount of power and the engine felt mega (despite having 900 miles on it; I'd imagine after some use it would free up a lot).
I'm trying to work out if I can get the finances to work, unfortunately the 0% deals are unavailable on it!
