MAF sensor modification mx5
Discussion
Hi guys.
I'm in the process of modifying my mx 5, mk1, 1.6. I'm building up to eventually fitting a super charger. I've been looking at basic cheap induction modifications so that I can make the exhaust modifications worth while before the charger is fitted. The big point that I can see that needs altering is the very restrictive MAF sensor. I've read that the rx7 sensor will literally plug and play but I still feel this is slightly restrictive as it works on the same principle of the air pushing past the flap. Does anybody know of any less restrictive sensors that "plug&play" with the standard ecu?

What Lazza said, it's not as restrictive as it looks, (and it's an AFM not a MAF). Also the RX7 unit isn't PnP, you need to adjust the clockspring, and without a wideband you're doing that completely blind, you're more likely to have a performance detriment than improvement.
BLiNK motorsport can tune your OEM AFM which releases a few HP.
