Mk 3 Seats height adjustment

Hi All, been a long term lurker and about to get in the ownership of an MX5 mk 3.... hopefully!
However fist I need some help! I am 6'1 and my wife is 5'1, I just about fit in however my wife struggles to get comfortable as she is low in the seat. As it will be her main car that is quite important! (I also have a Quantum xtreme) Which of the pre-face lift cars have adjustable seat height, we have been to see a couple of softtops and the have fixed height seat, we have found a coupe with adjustable seat height however from looking on Autotrader it does not seem possible to see which ones have this important (to us!) feature. Is it an option or do some models have this feature as std?

I believe the seat height adjustment was introduced in 2008, and continued with the facelift model. So you need a late pre-facelift car I guess!

The Feb 2008 Niseko had the height adjustable seats. I think that this was the first model to have it, but I've never seen a definitive answer. As Will said, it appears to be on 2008 cars, but it may not be all 2008s.

If you find a car you like, you can usually pickup a set of later sports leather seats for a few hundred quid. It's a fairly quick job to swap the seats, if you don't need to worry about the electrics. There are 2 sets for sale on ebay right now (£400 and £600).

Just found a few cars that have height adjustable seats and there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason which ones have it or not. I found 2007 with cloth seats that had it.
Why they left this off in the first place I dont know, how anyone under 5'4 ish could drive it safely is beyond me.
Found a silver coupe very clean with 53k miles that drove almost like new - they certainly dont feel their millage it seems.
