Just bought a W reg Mx5 1.8 in 'Racing bronze' (if that's the right colour name?) and thought I'd pop along to say hello in the appropriate section.
Looking for a bit of advice re. brakes and what to go for, seem to be very mixed reviews wherever I look. All discs and pads need replacing so I was thinking of going for the MX5Parts standard discs all round with Mintex 1144 pads - they seem to be OK for the price.
Any other recommendations of what to do/change/buy are welcomed, will be using her for fast road/occasional track use.
Cheers.

I went for the Axxis pads on mine last year. They are OK and did me a season of autosolos and targa rallies. They seem to last fairly well and I haven't experienced any fade of note when under extreme pressure.
What we did find though was that the calipers where knackered all round when we came to change the brakes. This ended up costing more than the brakes to fit 4 x new calipers

Thanks for the tips guys, have emailed around a few places for pad quotes - can't seem to find Axxis pads (with prices) for sale in the UK?
Also, any advice on getting braided lines? and what should I expect to pay?
Ordered MX5 parts discs and some ATE Superblue yesterday.
Regards,
Joe.
