Which battery size?

Hi guys. I have a mk2 1.8iS and the battery is nicely duff

ECP are listing both 114 and 063 sizes for the mx5. The Bosch one I would prefer is the latter.

Question is, which size is correct? Can't see the size on the existing one and don't want to get it wrong as it looks tight in there!

I have a Bosch S4 063 in my MK2.5 1.8, I can't fault it. Saying that I would have bought an S5 if it had been in the Euro Car Parts sale with the S4

Does anyone know if the 063 size battery fits without any mods?

I also stuck a 063 battery (Bosch Silver S4001) in my MK2.5 1.8 & it fitted in the battery well with plenty of room to spare.

I did have to field mod the bracket that holds the battery down. I just used a hack saw so that it would fit to the narrower aperture of the new battery handle.

It's easy to do and you'd see what I mean if you offered up the bracket.
