I haven't followed this for a while, is it still being made with Alpha as was previously thought?

Just another autocar shop. Lights clearly would be nothing like that either.

With Fiat yes, the new Alfa spider/roadster will share the MX-5 chassis with their own unique styling and engine. Similar to the Elise/VX220.

To be honest, if there is a chance of a roadster with Mazda engineering and reliability but with Alpha styling then that's the one I'd go for.

It'll likely be pitched at a different segment, more premium than the budget/economy MX-5.

Exactly what I was thinking, and it would need Alpha noise as well. Mine he did state they will have their own unique engine so the bomb proof Mazda may still be the safer bet. I'd still be tempted by the Alpha though, with any luck they'll depreciate as quickly as all other Alpha's, I'd be able to afford one far quicker

A few 5rs I know who've had reason to be in dealers recently have asked them if they know anything. Whilst they don't know a lot they have heard that the nose/grille shape is not going to follow the lines of the corporate image as found on the new 3s,6s, CX5s etc.
Watch this space, i guess...

The NC had it's own look to begin with then was gradually brought in line with the family look. Perhaps they'll do something similar to allow for future facelifts.

That looks fantastic! Pity they're not going to be turbo'd from the factory though. The tuning potential would have been mega.
