will seats fit??

Will the seat from a mk1 fit a mk 2. I can get hold of a mk1 cheap an if the seat are in better nick than mine would they fit?? Cheers!!

yes, but you may need the seatbelt stalk from a mk1 or so swap bits off the subframe as they went to mounting the seatbelt clip to the seat rather than the floorpan at some point (IIRC the bolt holes are still in the floor on the mk2s)

Just swap the Mk1 seat onto the subframes in your Mk2.

Mk2-style subframes (where the belt moves with the seat) are far better than the early Mk1.

Then sell the Mk1 frames onto someone who wants a belt-less subframe for a bucket seat.
