Don't want to spend more than £400 the cheapest mx5parts and the racing beat silencer seem to be the ones that seems to come up the most.

I want a nice fruity sound with more volume but not enough that it will be irritating on a long drive with the roof up.

Look on Nutz, got several videos in different states of tune & two different cobras depending on how far you are prepared to go.

Tried looking on nutz and cannot find any vids. Want to compare the race version to the road version. Will probably ring up cobra tomorrow as want to know if the race version settles on the motorway.

Just found a video you uploaded on youtube, have you got the race or road version?

I had the road version, now got a lot larger version .

The link above has lots of info for you including various videos.

At least four videos in different states of tune.

Ordered road version this morning, expected to arrive on Monday or Tuesday but the slim chance of it arriving before the weekend is getting me excited!

So when modding bug gets you this is how it sounds when you unplug the system whistle

Not sure as of yet, probably go the Eibach lowering springs to begin with to sort the height out and its relatively inexpensive.

ETA i want to keep it as discreet as possible... Im sure this will change.

I've got the Eibachs, they came on the car when I bought it.
I would say they're reasonable for what they are, a definite improvement in aesthetics and an improvement in handling.

If I were buying to put on the car, I'd probably now go Meisters, it just seems the best all round option if using hard on track and road.

Getting the springs, then getting them fitted and aligned will probably cost the best part of £400. Do the Meisters for a grand all in, and the £600 additional cost over a 2 or 3 yr ownership of the car is just £200 a year.
I'm sure the enjoyment of having the car far more composed is worth that cost many times over.

Although you don't get a 100% true feedback via a computer i found going thru YouTube helped me make my final decision.
I had a Racing Beat - that's now on my other half's 5 - i now have the complete BBR system. RBs are great.
I wish Goodwin were available in the UK but there are lots of choices to be had.
I happened across a list on Nutz only yesterday.
Apologies if i overlap with anyone else's advice but have a look at this:
http://www.roadster-nc.com/2013/09/roadster-muffle...
and
http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1...
Cobra, Scorpion, ILM... the increase in silencers/mufflers for MK3s make for a greater choice and this really has only really come about in the last year... or so!

Oh and keep an eye out on the MX5 forums as s/h parts do come up for sale - whch is where i've picked quite a few odds n sods.

Happy hunting smile

Had the Cobra Sport road version fitted and very happy with it. Blink motorsport did a great job fitting it.
