I'm planning on fitting a turbo and decent ECU which should give me somewhere in the region of 170/180 reliable BHP.
Other plans include some weight loss but I want to try a sixties style sports car look.

Nice start, looking very nice. What ideas do you have for the 60's look?

Very tidy.

Daft question (I'm new here) - what did you have to do to get the Golf steelies to fit? Or do they slot right on?

Thanks for the comments.
The G60 wheels fit straight on as they are the same PCD as the mx5.
I'm planning the 60's theme but trying to think of something away from the usual lotus élan clone.
I will start with the mirrors probably fit some aluminium items like the ones from runabout but as they are a bit expensive I may try find an alternative.
There are lots of interior conversions about for the mx5 so I will see f I can find one that I like.
I was also going to paint the steel wheels old English white and see how they wold look, but I don't know.
What do you guys think? Will old English white work on the wheels?

I lowered the car by fitting a set of lower shocks and springs from KYB.
They are a bit bounty on uneven roads but seem to work well enough when pressing on.
I will upgrade to adjustable coil overs in due course but for now the KYB do the trick, I think they lower the car by about 25mm ish.

I've got a BRG one too and was thinking of painting the wheels black after seeing a classic MG at a car show a few months ago.

That's superb thanks.
Having seen the black I've changed my mind on that colour, the white looks nice though.
The stripes and mirrors I also like.
Can I be a pain in the butt and ask for the front bumper to have a silver line to emulate a chrome bumper and also the top of the rear bumper in silver as well please if you could manage that.
I wish I could do computers.
Cheers.
