white smoke on start up.
Discussion
Noticing a degree of what appears to be white smoke on start up from cold. Read various diagnosis of what could be wrong some of which have put the fear of god up me with regard to cost!! Here are the clues for all you MX-5 Sherlocks..
1.) Occurs when the car has been sitting overnight. Stops after about 10 minutes of running.
2.) All the fluids, water and oil, still full.
3.) No loss of power or rough running.
4.) Smoke does not smell greatly of oil but has a slight petrol smell.
5.) All temperatures on the gauges spot on.
6.) Passed MOT in July with no emissons issues.
Any thoughts?

Mine is exactly the same only for a few minutes in the mornings just continue driving it if there is no signs of losing water, oil etc. White smoke is usualy just condensation from standing over night a common problem aparently on mx5.
Agree with this .... probably just condensation..... mine used to do the same...I even mentioned it in my video about my ramps as it looks to the untrained eye like your car is about to explode
