Looking at the small print for BMW's warranty, it would appear that they won't cover non-standard cars. Everything on the car i'm buying is standard apart from the 6 pot AP brakes it has on there.

Anyone else in this situation? What did you do?

Simple, don't worry about it and get it bought! There speaks the voice of reason... LOL! The brakes won't be covered obviously but it's not like (for example) the brakes could cause the engine to implode is it? No problem on mine when I had it for warranty work and that was with APs all round. Loads of others have the same set up, go over and ask on www.cslregister.com if you want more reassurance.

When I had a CSL I had APs fitted in 2004 and had no problems with any warranty claims (non-brake) under the original factory warranty. I also had no problems when I went into the extended warranty period in that later four years of ownership.
Although you're right - the small print does say no modifications.

Just choose the right (and sensible) dealer...
