Cup tyre prices thru the roof!

Just got a cheapest quote of 1200 quid for all four!! I'm sure it was well less than a grand a year or two ago!!!

yep last 12 months if not longer they have been £1150 or more

What are considered the best alternatives? Especially for an inclement climate like, say, Ireland's - a fair bit wetter than the UK's?

if your looking for semi slicks like CUPS but for road and track the only options i know of readily available in the UK are

Cups
Toyo R888
Pirelli Corsa Race (although sizes a a bit off)

Toyo R888 are a little underbuilt for 1500kg cars and will go off earlier so make sure you get the hard compound and keep the laps down before breaks

Corsa Race and Cups are better on track but not as reliable in heavy rain/standing water
