Hi guys¡K.Need some help from the CSL owner¡¦s ¡K

Need some help advise...Recently purchased some csl alloys from ebay¡KGenuine one¡¦s problem is after asking the seller some questions it doesn¡¦t look to good ƒ¼

As you can see I¡¦ve asked on the Z4 owner forums. Everyone on there seems fairly sure there fake, Though I¡¦d double check if there has been ¡§2 phases¡¨ of CSL wheel production? Just want to 100% before I get in a argument on ebay and risk my 51 rating at 100% ƒ¼

Who better to ask than the CSL guy¡¦s themselves :P

there was a BMW part number change for the rear rims but i have had both sets(well 5 sets altogether) and all had BMW on the front under the badge and BOTH had BBS cast into the triangles on the back

if it were me i would def walk away as these are the two signs they are genuine BMW. Let him take the risk as otherwise they are worth £200-300.

Agree with Shimmy above. The only difference between the newer ones was a change to the valve - the new ones have a more pronounced ridge. Apparently there was an issue with the valves at high speed.

Another thing i've noticed..

There's at least 4-5 sets of "genuine" CSL alloys for sale at any one time on pistonheads/flebay.

But the fact that there are only 422 CSL's in the UK.. And me personally only ever seen them for sale with standard CSL's on?

I understand a few might have purchased spares new. But i can't imagine that many?

Anyhow probably the reason for so many so called "genuine" alloys going around frown

The 2010 M3 CS comes with CSL style wheels.

Anyone know if

- anyone can buy these wheels
- they are lightweight jobs like genuine original e46 CSL wheels
- They will fit other cars

I think there was a casting change on the later rear CSL rim. There is an extra rib in the well IIRC.

The 2010 CS? e46? The runout model e46 M CS came with CSL style wheels, the rears were CSL wheels (ie identical) but the fonts are half an inch thinner...

Nords, I believe 0836whimper could be referring to the M3 Competition package of the E90/2 M3 that features the E46 M3 CSL wheel design.
