Hey guys, just moved to E1 from SW4 and my lovely insurance broker has refused to quote that postcode and given me seven days notice to find alternatives. I wouldn't mind but whereas it was on street near Brixton previously it's now in a CCTV covered locked underground garage with 24hr security!!! That's not to mention 6months no claims bonus that I won't be able to carry over, the fact that I now have to tick yes if any quote form asks if I've ever had my insurance cancelled, and the fact that every other broker and insurer in the world is happy to quote the postcode. Obviously not good form to name names, suffice to say they'd be more appropriately named redlight insurance for hanging me out to dry like this.

Anyway, any of you CSL bods got any tips on good insurers? Trackday cover wd be a bonus...

I use Admiral, seem competitive, though they exclude trackdays / Ring etc

Competition Car Insurance will now cover a CSL. I got a great quote from them, and they include 4 free trackdays.

Does their cover include European cover and the 'Ring on touristenfahrten?

Not Ring - like everybody else, but you do get euro road cover and one euro trackday

Bugger!

Thought I had the chance of getting a policy which understood the needs of 'Ringers'. It's not like I want the extra cover for free, but it's becoming nearly impossible to find one that'll cover the 'Ring on a public day.

It used to be that if it wasn't omitted then it was covered, then it was a grey area, and now they're actively excluding it - although my current insurer even excludes ANY use on a circuit/airfield, so it means if I have an accident in the car park at a circuit I'm not covered either - hence the need to change policies soon.
