BMW Testing new M3 CSL
Discussion
Spotted testing at the ATP test facility in Papenburg last weekend... it appears BMW have gone for a hybrid approach in developing the new E92 based M3 CSL.
In this they've combined aspects of the previous car, ensuring that previous generation car's trademark look is carried over to the new vehicle.
They also appear to be experimenting with a gradient paint to ensure that clientèle will be happy that their car is both discrete, whilst still clearly showing off the trademark BMW lines.
Two versions of the car will be on offer - one presumed to be a club sport type, with roll cage, and bucket seats, and a second comfort model taking an approach similar to the E46 model, with relative luxury.
both test cars seen were right hand drive models, indicating that the UK is as before, a core target market.
Thanks to Frozenspeed for capturing the test cars in action.
