Hi
Due to a house move in may I decided to sell my 08 M3 and get something more sensible, after 4 four months of driving my daughter mini one I find the pull of M3 ownership to great, today I test drove a CSL
When driving hard and changing up with only the slightest lift it felt like the back end of the car was loose, is this normal? or are they prone to suspension wear, the car has run 40K

thanks

the bush limiting kit from Simpsons fixes this, best £70 you can spend on the car, worth replacing the bushes at the same time as they dont cost much, hope this helpd

i did exactly the same 3 years ago when i bought mine. First roundabout i tried i pulled away to the right and the back hoped to the left a little

it was the Rear Trailing Arm Bushes - cheap to change and as above fit the Turner limiter kits to stop it happening again

could also be a broken rear spring, once again easily changed for circa £100

both these items are common problems

sorry for the daft question but what is a limiting kit and where can they be purchased.

also are all the gearchanges harsh when on mode 5/6

the diff is what you notice on gear changes and it is reasonably brutal in 5/6

Turner Limiter kit as follows

you will need new OEM bushes as well, bMW or Turner

if its the spring they look like this and if you have a jack can easily be changed
