Well after 2 years developing my CS and pretty much got it as quick as some of you plastic roof, flappy paddle, no sat nav bunch.. its time for change, and its going next week, minus all the goodies which will go on the next winter project..biggrin, and we will see what all the fuss is about.. add a set of slicks, maybe some stronger control arms, and aim for the 2:14-15's round Silverstone....

Shimmy... I'm comin to get ya'.... ! best you get on a diet.. wink , and we will see exactly how much my extra 100kg has been costing me on the GP..!

Car best 2:19.5 on the GP, 2 up @ 1530Kg wet + driver/passenger

looking forward to it Ratboy and i think you shortly may be found driving round the Midlands with your driver window down looking for either a tunnel or a load of Chavs to scare

Still is... until tomorrow morning...! fantastic car, and I've enjoyed developing it over the last 2 years.., but nothings forever, and I'm looking for some more progress now, and the +100kg is hurting my times..!
I'm keeping the parts for the next project.. but may try some different dampers, so my KW3's + turret tops could be up for grabs next week if your interested....

Had a look at a couple of CSL's recently..
One was battered and not at all the condition I would be looking for...
Who's got a good one they're stepping out of..? even better if its got some of the mods done to it already.. Intrax / RTAB's.. the brakes, Xorst and power I have covered.. biggrin

I'm guessing you're already all over this one?

http://www.cslregister.com/forum/showthread.php?t=...

If you plan on nailing it round the track there's no point chasing after a garage queen with 12k on the clock. Could buy this then flog your own leftover bits meaning the car could stand you at close to £20k...

I see you have spies in the camp young Shimmminy... wink

I am going to step away from having a road / track car now.. and have 1 of each that is good at what its supposed to do.. developing mine for 2 years, has been great fun, and i met some of you guys too..
But during the process i have learnt that the better it is on track the worse it is on road.. and as a result, the car only ever went between Thornies/Silverstone/My place/Petrol stations.. and thats about it.. couldnt get over a speed bump if i tried..

So the next progressive step is to get more focused on what it does best..!
Will post up some pictures in the fullness of time as / when / if ...things cement..

Keep away from oil downs..!

RatBoy.. mobile, been to the gym, and on the mend..!

Onward n upward as they say.. biggrin
Driving my 100 quid pub car as my only transport for a while and it sucks ...!

I think so too Shim... its a total compromise having a car that is good on track, and you can go to the coast for a day out in.. and not need a dentist on the way home.. wink
So horses for courses.., I had already set this plan in motion, by re-setting my CS to stock, its in a showroom now..
Like you I dont have storage, trailers, tow vehicles.. but i know a man who does..!
I have done 2 years spannering my own car, setting it up for the day.. then re-setting it after, car gets full of rubber and dings, no matter how careful you are changing rims etc..
So I'm going the arrive 'n' drive route for next year, and have a team run it for me..
I figured the day costs about 800 anyway, so a little more to have it delivered and set up is not a huge extra in the big scheme of things..

Cage is already in it... if your going to run slicks.. then IMHO your a mug not to run a cage.. trust me on that one..!

Amen to that!

Just had a Custom Cages job fitted to mine, and seeing something like this completely vindicates the cost.

Things dont happen slowly on slicks @ 1250kg...!

What happens is the plasma warp drive crystals really get going.. and it can be over before you have a chance to react.. and thats the truth... and even in the 0.25 seconds while your brain is figuring out what to do.. your trajectory is set.. and your going in... eek
