Afternoon all,

I've come round to the idea of having a CSL, and reading all the information on these forums has been really helpful in arriving at my decision. However, I've got a couple of issues to consider. Firstly, I'm 6'10" (long in the leg) and am fine in an E46 M3 but not sure about the CSL's interior space. Are there any other tall CSL drivers who can shed light on this? Also, I've got a couple of damaged discs in my lumbar spine and wonder whether the ride might be incredibly harsh. Again, normal E46 M3's are fine but I'm not sure how the CSL stacks up.

Any help before I start spending my time and taking up dealers' time would be really appreciated.

Thanks

I'm 6'4" / thick set and slipped two discs a couple of years back (had lumbar epidural, physio etc etc.) Have had no probs with the ride but I am a weekender only but I think even at 6'10" you'll be ok.

CSL seats are great but I found the lower back lumbar support to be not so good - had I bought one I would have got lumbar cushions or Recaro seats fitted.

Sparco do Lumbar Support cushions:

Thanks for the input, I suspected it would be ok for taller guys, and if it's only really for weekend use, I'm sure it will be bearable.

The search begins...

the seats can be raised or lowered by the bolts on side of seats, just like regular recaro race seats

i used CSL seats for 2 years as daily drive - no prblems except for needed a back cushoin to push my shoulders forward so not to curl in the seat

alternatively you can fit a Recaro SPG XL for £500 like i now have and is a bit bigger if you are as wide as me
