Have to say I fancy a M3 CSL/CS for a 2nd car and track tool, as Mrs G Man hates Porker 911, is the CSL the best most reliable track weapon ?

Well it has been an expensive excersize that i can confirm.. but its bl**dy good...!
If you want to do any kind of track work.. dont even think about a stock one.. the only thing they do well is wear front tyres out.. !

Most generous Shimmy... i tracked the new Alcon brakes on Monday, and they do work..! They take ages to bed in and get a good pedal with 4 new corners/pads.. There was so much slow traffic i didn't really get to stand on them 100%.. but what i do like is the longer pedal.. to bite point, unlike the A/P's which were hard off the bat.. the Alcons have a longer bite point, which i found easier to trail off the pressure into the apex's..more like Porsche brakes.. easier to toe n heel as well with a lower bite point.. but you wouldn't know about that with your guestamatic box..!

"Heal" is how the driver feels after he drives his car really fast and runs out of talent .....

"Toe" is a misspelling of Tow which is required for the car after the talent runs out and the hedge/tyre barrier approaches way to fast wink

Well in that case I will stick to the traditional pressing 2 pedals at once type..! for what its worth i found that with the pedal heights its easier with the Alcon brakes.. biggrin

Unlike you auto blippers with your guestimatronic flappy padals...!

Definitely go for one. I really enjoyed mine and quite easy to drive/drift, on track of course! The noise is utterly addictive. I am now thinking seriously about a 997 GT3 RS, hope it gives me as much of a thrill. The only down side is the hard ride made my missus a bit queesy on bad B roads. Yet of all the other eclectic toys I have had over the many years, it was the only one that gave this side effect! Strange.

Would be an excellant track car

Depends what you're used to really... 360bhp/1440Kg is pretty good.. next step up is a GT3 with 415bhp/1400Kg... you can go the Exige / Caterham route.. or get on the Slimfast plan..!

But for an all rounder that you can use the back seats and boot if you need to like i do.. 4 rims on cups on the back seat / trolley jack / box of tools in the boot / brain in the glovebox.....you wont get much better...biggrin

A road test will give an indication of what it's like, but you need to try one on the track to make a well balanced decision, you cant get 'em going on the road really.. or get the tyres hot enough..
