Evening!

I've been looking around for quite a while for an E9 CSL, I have seen a couple now but not "the one" yet.

Anyone on here have any contacts or know of any for sale? I have cash waiting for a good example, it will be a weekend and touring tool, used rather than hidden away.

All info greatly received!

Thanks.

Mat.

Hi, Hadn't thought of selling but have a look at www.flikr.com/photos/glynjones2008 and see what you think.

Mat,
Sold the orange one to a chap from Johannesburgh, it's the wide-body yellow one I have now.

Hi Glyn!

Thanks for the link, the orange one is beautiful! I'm after a road motor so although the orange one would have been perfect, the wide body is not really what I'm after.

Thanks again, have a good weekend.

Hi Steve,

Seems like CSL prices are rising alarmingly, just seen a rough one that's been stood for 20 years fetch £14000 at auction, so depends how much you're offering. I'm away till Saturday .

P.s. Check these..... Munich Legends just sold one for £35000, and there's another red one at £59995. Wish I'd kept my other two now.

They do seem to be rising, I think it must be down to the race series, the fact that a lot of people who were 18 when they were new are entering retirement and can afford to buy toys and also the rapid rise of things like the 2.7 RS. Either way they do seem to be appreciating.

Hi Rohan, Thanks for that. Can't remember the 2285... no. Is there a way to find out who owns it now? I think I sold it to a chap from Leeds or thereabouts.

A scruffy CSL sold at Brightwells last month for £23000! There is no question that in the last 18 months prices have started to rise after years of stagnation. The red dealer one for 60K has now been sold so one assumes it went for over 50K?

I'm on the lookout too.
A couple went recently in PH classifieds being a really nice restored green one (25K) and another (22K) so I don't actually believe prices have reached silly height yet (yet).

I'd pay high 20's for a decent one e.g. no rust.

I have one currently being restored that will be for sale when finished.
I went to see the brightwells car... what a mess... "scruffy2 is being kind indeed.
Mine is very original and now 100% solid, waiting to paint.
PM me for more info.

I went to see that car at Brightwells too. What an absolute shocker given the description...and the more than one telephone conversation I had with the auction chapee. I was going to send my wife to bid on that car on my behalf...thankfully I managed to see it myself on the Sunday before the auction.

The annoying thing is that in waiting for that pile of scrap to arrive at the auction house I let a really nice late E24 635CSi Highline go that I could have had at a 3rd of the price that some poor soul bought that Brightwell's car. I can only think it was a blind telephone bid that took it in the end.
