Anyone know how heavy a CSL is... ?

I found the handbook weights did not stack up on my CS.. with Xenons, A/C, heated seats.. mine came in @ 1530kg wet, with a full tank of fuel and no driver.... my Millteck Xorst is 20kg lighter than stock.. so thats 1465 dry for me.. I'm aiming for close to 1400kg when i take the seats out soon..

The local scrappie assured me their weighbridge was accurate to 10kg.. and they failed to see the funny side when i asked it it was set for buying or selling..!

wink

Cheers Shimmy...

I reckon I can get mine down to 1465kg on full fuel .. my seats are 80kg a pair.. so I'm considering a pair of Recaros @ 15kg for the pair..

I was racing Droop snoop in his CSL @ Silverstone tuesday night.. and i managed to pull away 2 or 3 car lengths on him on each straight.. he was 2 up.. so i guess we were about even on the weights..

i doubt wether youll get within 50kgs of the CSL without some major stipping but 50 kgs isnt too far away

best mod after your seats is some track rims. save 5kgs a corner and that will give you a big advantage

I think your spot on there Shim.. i was a bit out on the seats.. but i can take 40kg off the car by changing them over to Recaros.. which will result in 1490kg wet.. on full fuel.. or 1425kg dry, my project is pretty much done then.. and I will run it at that for this year.. its been an interesting journey getting it sorted to be good on the track.. .. but to get down to 2:10" on the GP its going to have to be a GT3 or strip the M car out and totally and loose it as a road car.. 1250kg is achievable for the M car.. but its too nice to cut to bits IMHO...

The seats are a little heavy, mine is 1404 kg (Geoff steel racing scales) with half tank fuel, and I have fitted carbon recaros 4kg each to get weight down. Car has air con and xenon’s
