Hi,

I am going to need a full set of front and rear tyres soon. Currently the car runs on Conti's but should I stick with these? I use the car everyday, rain or shine and so don't need or want a track day orientated tyre.

Any suggestions............

I have a new full set of the Goodyear F1 assimetrics and haven't been too impressed. If you can justify the expense, you can't go wrong with Pilot Sport 2s...

My CSL came with the Goodyears Nords has mentioned and yes they were crap.
I got them changed to Pirelli P Zero Rosso's and they are much better.

Nothing at all Shim... they are fantastic, but if its your only set of rims and all year round boots.. I wouldn't be running cups..

My cups are staying on the car now for the summer.. but they are a bit lively in the wet for sure.. biggrin

If the O/P is going to do some track days then cups all the way.. lick

Thanks for the advice.

In truth I would like to try and run the car on cups day to day and have the car as it was meant to be but it seems that the consensus of opinion is that they are too extreme.

I guess I will look into the PS2's if they are the best compromise for everyday driving.

Not too extreme, but expensive and only 5mm to start with. Almost a waste to use mainly on the road. I have a second set of rims with cups but need to find a good 'front' as I have one on the canvas. I also have a set of all rear std 18" M3 rims with Dunlop trackday tyres which are 90% of cups but alot cheaper!

Where do you get your Dunlops from?

Phil,

The 18" rims had them on when I bought the car. Camskill did have them but only other types now...

Cheers Nords. Now that it looks like the Dunlops you had aren't available, any ideas what 18" tyres you'd go for next?
