Anyone got a Non Optioned CSL???
Discussion
Are there any non optioned CSL's out there? e.g. no air, no PDC, xenons, radio etc...
Just wondering what the interior looks like as the manual shows it with rotary dials.
Personally I think these cars will be worth more in 15 years (but only a touch more) as there seems to be a lot less...

there was one for sale recently - 10k miles. I can't immediately find the advert but yes, they have rotary dials for the heater and a carbon fibre blanking plate where the radio would live.
I can understand the appeal to a degree but I don't get the point! Just like there aren't many gt3 rs's without air con & a radio!
If you want a light car then go for something wihh a caterham, atom or Lotus badge on it.
The csl is still a barge compared to a proper track toy, it's just quite a nice barge.

I disagree with the comment made above, I own a CSL which has all of the options except PDC. I've been watching the classifieds for the last 10 months and feel that whenever a CSL comes onto the market which has low mileage and hardly any options they are taking a lot longer to sell. These types of cars with minimal options only appeal to very few people, I believe that if they were better specced they would have sold a lot quicker.
Yes, at the moment it's true the better spec cars go for more however when the CSL becomes a true old timer Classic e.g. in another 15/20 years+ (and when a few more have been written off) then I think the basic one's will attract a premium.
They won't be used as daily drivers then note, but polished on weekends by the likes of us when we've retired. PDC and xenons won't matter and Classic Car magazine and it's ilk will herald the CSL for it's purity, weight loss and rarity.
Purity and Rarity is what will make the non-options go for a little more despite the fact we all know the options make it far more 'liveable' day to day and make no difference performance wise. BUT the Classic Car market doesn't work on 'reason' but emotion.
Purity and Rarity, remember those words when you see the CSL on the cover of "Petrol Classics" in 25 years time (it'll be petrol classics as we'll all be in Hybrids of some kind).
Anyhow, try to hang onto your CSL as your grandkids will hate you if you sell it!!
