Thanks to Tim from Envy Valeting who spent the most of yesterday carrying out a full paint correction on my BMW M3 CSL!!!

Words below copied from the man himself smile

Thanks to Terry B and Lisa for putting up with me talking all day and drinking them dry on the coffee front. In exchange for that I got to work on Terry's lovely CSL......

Todays car is MY final car of 2008, and what a car to end on!

Some befores:

As usual the wheels were cleaned 1st with Envy Brushes, EZ detail and on this occasion AS Smart wheels..I wanted to compare directly to Espuma Revolution. Lets say the AS is now history from now on!

Soaking with Espuma Activo

Rinsed, then hit with Envy Valeting SSF

Washed with Two buckets, Zymol sponge and grit guards etc. Dried off.

Clayed with Dodo Juice Gentle grey, not very contaminated tbh.

Paint measurements were taken all over, and no nasty surprises I'm pleased to say.
A look at the defects, not easy with Brinky!

Try the halogens, can you see the swirls? Not easy!

A rough 50/50...rear light corrected via Metabo and FCP and Ultrafine.

More post correction shots

Once this was all to a level I was happy with it was time to de-dust the beautiful car and cleanse the paint with Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite.

Todays wax was chosen to suit the cars wonderful paint colour. I opted for Zymol's Vintage wax, and left it to cure for an hour whilst I cleaned glass, dressed tyres and polished tail pipes.

Enjoy the afters:

I was lucky enough to be taken for a blast after I'd finished and I can say with confidence..its another car for my shopping list! The induction noise it outta this world!

Tim

Hope you enjoyed smile. If anyone would like putting in contact with Tim from Envy Valeting then let me know. He is based in Hampshire but will travel.

Cheers

Terry

That looks absolutely stunning.

You're not selling it are you? I might be in the market for one of these...

I'm not planning to anymore (I was before) but for the right price I could be tempted, as I have 1 car too many really and the Scooby isn't shifting, so may have to keep that and do another year of Time Attack smile

Do you mind me asking, roughly what sort of price are you talking to detail a CSL?

For those of you that are intersted...

Details from Tim at Envy Valeting below

Normally for a paint correction job like I did for Terry I would charge £350 plus any travel (ie over 50 miles from home - Portsmouth/ Southampton area) and this is an external job only mainly to do with removing swirl marks and paint defects to get the paint as good as it is possible to achieve. Machine polishing/paint correction is more aimed at absolute perfectionists - http://www.envyvaleting.co.uk/paint_correction.asp

For a "protection" detail where I do the same process but no machine polishing I offer an inside and out service for £250 plus travel etc, and the normal feedback I get is the car is better than new!

If you look at my website the section http://www.envyvaleting.co.uk/services.asp this section deals with protection details, and is probably what most people's expectations are of detailing. I must stress its not a quick wash and wax, and normally will take me 7hrs odd to detail a 3 series.
