Ok, so Im thinking about selling the CSL and was looking for some assitance pricing it. Its c.52,000 miles, with PDC, air, single CD Radio, AP brakes all round (disks and pads changed all round within last 1,00 miles) and I have added Xenons (although no hedlight-cleaning sprayers - so you need a friendly MoT Station). The car has full BMW service history including the 1200 mile one. It needs the alloys refurbed and a resprayed front bumper + possibly bonnet (stonechips), plus two front tyres (so figure about £1,500 to spend on it. I could either do this or leave it for a buyer to do. The car has been tracked once by previous owner, and still feels spot on to me, having driven a couple of comparable cars.

What do you reckon guys?

Somebody got a bargain ! (in my opinion)

Mines was an 04 plate in top condition with 44,000 miles on the clock and I found it hard to sell. All wheels and paintwork redone so it really was looking good. In the end I got £23K trade in, dealer has it up for £26K but it's not moving.

I'm thinking about 22 as it needs some money spending on it? It will cost over £1500 to do the repairs you have mentioned, well from decent bodyshops, wheel refurbers etc.+ tyres will cost a fair amount. Also does it come with a warranty?

Thanks for the replies so far. It's a very tough car to bring myself to sell at those prices! Guess I've just got to think sensible and really screw the price down on whatever I get next.

Elite Detailer - nope, I let the warranty expire earlier this year.

mine had done 19000miles !

As reference to Mr CSL, i had alot of people emailing offers. I prefere the old fasioned way of negotiation where people view the car before making offers. There is no such thing as an easy no hassle sale(which is what every one offering via email seem to declare).
Somebody turned up with good old fashioned cash and i couldn't say no !!! :-)

Somebody has got themselves a cracking CSL !

Have you considered a 996 turbo? They are going for as low as £26-27k private (asking prices) with under 50k on the clock. Bulletproof build quality, comfy ride, 2+2, very reliable and seriously fast. That's a hell of a lot of car for the money.
