Induction flap not working pls help
Discussion
Not exactly a fix, but you could just take the flap out. Easy 5 minute job.
Then you will have the induction roar at lower revs without having to turn the sport button on. (Handy of the roads are icy)
Juist read your other thread.
Make sure the sport button is on if you arte trying to watch the flap open, it should open at around 3500rpm then. Otherwise it doesn't open until 5500rpm.

This is a fairly common problem, well, not that common but then as minimal stuff goes wrong with CSL's I guess it is 'CSL common'.
Anyhow BMW replaced a fair few, they may do a goodwill if you're not long out of warranty.
Check the Evo buying guide (should be on the net somewhere) for info about what it is. Oh, mine had it done at 22K

hi, we have seen this a few times... you'll be amazed at the power difference when you get it fixed! we have probably seen this 5-6 times and every time it has been the flap potentiometer on the right hand side of the intake as you look at it, not that expensive from BMW and only 10 mins to fit, let me know if you need a part number
