Hi to you all
I need some help with a few questions that have been racking my brains day & night for the last few weeks know. As
acurrent owner of my T350c approx 2 years now, I love the thing, it's brutal behaviour on delivering that power, the handling, thanks to Nitrons all round, it's looks and most important of all the unmistaken sound.
I promnise I am not trying to convert anyone!
Since I have owned the car I have spent approx: £15,000 on various sensible mods and servicing costs. Have had 2 great track days as you do. I would also like a CSL to add to ther collection but simply can't afford to have both cars. I have looked into the costs with oil service, Insp. 1 & 2 with various BMW dealers and I feel thet their prices are mental, only my opinion. If I commit to a CSL on an 2003 plate with full BMW history do you feel that I will have to cont: the service with the main dealers, considering the car will not have any warranties etc.
Or am I better off taking the car to one of the specialist firms. I have also obtained prices from them on general servicing and whilst they are cheaper, still a lot of money. Coming from the TVR world I am use to the high cost servicing, it's the other bills that concern me.
E.G New steering wheel £800.00
New front seat £2200
New Front splitters £400.00 pair etc, etc.
I would love a CSL, but would love to hear from any owners as to the true reality of owning one of these beutifull cars and their realistic reliability issues, engine, SMG gerboxes etc. Finally if any of you have made the move from T350c to CSL I would love to hear from you.
I finally would like to thank you all in advance for any replies and admire you all for driving such cars and to all the T350c lads too.
I know my questions are spread throughout the post but english, grammar and spelling is not my strongest point.
Cheers
Mr Lock Pick

IIRC my old car was bought by 'ibroker' who had previously had a T350c

remember that the CSL is now eligable for 4+ servicing too which will knock some more off, 650-700 for the most expensive service once every 4 years is much cheaper than TVR! Averages out at about 400 a year (10k miles) for servicing on mine.
How often are you planning on replacing the seats?
