04 car with I think 13k. No xenons, 3 owners, quite a few stone chips to the front but apart from that paintwork good. Inside is excellent and it has aircon and cd. How much I here you ask? Well 39 thousand of Englands finest pounds!!!!!! Anyones old car?

Toooooooo much money. Car needs to be spotless for that sort of money and then I think its still too much. Owners not a concern though as these cars change hands reg. Condition and history more important than owners.

I'm up there on friday to (Sytner Nots) pick up my 6 series, can probably take it for a drive (if they let me). I put 28,000 on mine so know the breed pretty well....only really do it if you're serious about buying though.
Rob.

PS It sounds waaaaaayyy too pricey!

Had a missed call on my mobile last night... it was from Syntner Notts saying "I think we have made a mistake on the pricing of this vehicle, if you are still interested please give us a call on ......."

Maybe they realise a CSL with no options for £40k is a bit optomistic, when you can get used e92 M3's for £47

Sytners are getting really agressive in their pricing and pex vals. stners offered 6k less pex val on my car than the dealer I eventually sold too. All these dealers are shooting themselves in the foot at the moment as no one really wants to deal with them. I could handle a dealer having around 3k in a car but I know of Audi dealers, Bmw dealers and porsche dealers who are all trying to get 10k out of their cars. I bet your bottom dollar thats what stners have in that csl.

You're not wrong about Sytners part ex price, here's two examples:

8 months ago I asked Sutton Coldfield Sytners about trading my CSL in on a M6 (I was only curious), they offered 21.5K on the CSL!!

Yesterday I brought a BMW 630 cab, the chap had been offered 21K for it from Sytners Nottingham (long story but basically he brought a Masarati Q from the Ferrari garage next door and it's part of the Sytner Group), it's trade book value is 28.5K, Retail 32K.

They are so far off the mark however did allow me to get a great bargain on the 6 series...

Lets just say they are making over 7k on that car if it sells @ that price!

Just had an email from them with a revised price... their part-ex offer on my 535d was £5k less than my local dealer offered my 2 weeks ago.

Have said the car is not the right spec for me (no xenons or parking), thanks for your kind offer, but no thanks.

I dont think they realise what damage they are doing by insulting people like this. you normally go into a garage and have an idea what your car is worth and roughly what discount you will get and then tend to get the deal right in your mind so you perhaps pay sticker price but get a reasonable pex deal. Sytners seem to be going in at crazy money. Perhaps the cost of moving from the centre of Notts, building the audi centre and the ferrari one mean that their prices are more rigid. Maybe 4k in a car is just not covering the overheads anymore due to lack of sales all three dealerships i just mentiond have masses of stock.

Its dropped in price now. Did anyone go and see it? Quite tempting if they will knock it down a bit more. Could persuade me away from a 996 Turbo? If it was in Black that might be easier!

LOL, I have recently advertised my CSL for sale on here (Sunday night) and this morning received a call from someone at a BMW dealer in the Midlands saying that they were on the look for a late CSL (mine's a 54 plate) for his MD to drive, but would then be sold at a later date - then cheekily suggested that he would be looking to pay around £4k less than my asking price.

I'd love to know if anyone else has received a similar call in the past when selling their CSL or similar car, as I don't think the MD would have ever driven it - would have more than likely ended up on the forecourt straight away smile

I did receive a call like that as well, orginated from Wolverhampton, they offered me 25K for my car. Said they had a client looking for one and would pay cash the next day. I said no as what happens is they come out, point out a few faults (even if your car is faultless, they'll find one) and offer you 1-2K less e.g. 23K.

Just for that I would have strung them along for ages...Like: "Duh...erm...ok...yuh...ermmm..." And then right at the last moment pulled the plug on them! Frankly, for a good while I've been surprised that they ever sell a car...now I'm surprised that they can ever buy one!

Yeah...so what I would have done is make them think I'm some dork who's going to fall for their spiel...let them come out to me (at a time of my convenience)...waste their time...let them point out some inevitable fault or two...try to knock off £1-2K...and then say:

"Oh no...sorry...I've changed my mind...the price has gone up by £1-2K...Bye!"

They have to go home...you don't.

robm3, and what do you think to the 630 Cab? I am really considering one of these the prices are falling so much making them outstanding value.
What should you get a 2005 or 2006, 630 Cab with reasonable mileage down to now?
