I have had my CSL for about 3 weeks and have just had it checked over at my local dealer. One of the things i got them to check was the clutch. They said that it was good.
When i drive it in normal mode it changes gear very quickly and precisly as i would expect. When i put it in sport mode and give it some welly it seems to slip alot. Is this normal? Or should it be very precise like in normal mode.

thanks
Justin

check out threads on mtorque.co.uk about clutches

wuite common yto think you have a sliped clutch but rumour has it most cases are just that gear changung needs some learning that bmw can do

mine is at murketts bmw next week to have clutch looked at and eiher replaced or reprogrammed. i have very faint clutch slip at the moment

Welcome mate.beer

Driving it round and only changing gear when its bouncing off the limiter isnt best for the clutch.yikes

Having the gear change setting at its most severe wont help matters either.nono

That is the ONLY way to drive a CSL.

The latest software update didn't do a thing to help my clutch slur issues.

A great deal has been written about this issue elsewhere, with many advocating the approach of never lifting off the throttle during gearchanges (the software has the ability to learn apparently).

The thing that sorts mine out every time, without fail, is a trackday - probably due to not lifting between full bore changes for a day.
