A lap of the ring is hard on cars !! suspension/ brakes etc etc
is there a rough calculation for a lap of the ring against the equilavent road miles ??
My only reference is the "mileage countdown to the next service" on my E46. At the Ring it counts down approximately 4-5 times faster than in normal driving conditions. Effectively a 13 mile lap is equivalent to 60 ish normal road miles.

Having done 315 laps of the 'ring this year in my CSL I'm well placed to remark on this... average cost / lap is €99.
In that time I've had to fit:
- clutch
- power steering pump + rack (twice)
- diff
- 3 sets of pilot sport cups
- 1 set of yokohama a048
- 1 set of pirelli pzero corsa
- 2 sets of AP front brake disks
- 1 set of Performance Friction front brake disk
- 1 set of AP rear brake disks
- 2 sets of Ferrodo DS2500 pads all round
- 2 sets of Carbopad all round
- 2 sets of Pagid RS29s all round
- 1 set of PFC01s all round
- wheel bearings all round
- drive shaft bearings
- front wishbones
- rear trailing arm bushes + limiter kit
No idea how long that would last on the road, but for reference BMW when testing their cars, do 8000km round the 'ring, and then destroy the cars... I've done 6400KM this year...
