I sort of went from a S2 Elise to CSL (see my profile).

What is it you want to know and I'll try to help - though as of yet I've not had the CSL on a track (it's a long story).

Actually one of the blokes on BM3W went from a CSL to a Lotus. Log on there and I'm sure he'd give you some idea of the differences and similarities between the two.

Not strictly the same though .... he already has a Z4M Coupe for the road and his Lotus is a Exige 240 Cup .... I know all this as I now own his CSL!

had an m3 recently which i sold ,thought fantastic car !! wish i hadnt to be honest so was looking at getting back into another but this time going for csl - bmw have got 2 at the moment but pricy one black at barons just under 40k and the other POA !!!!!up in wolves. seems prices holding up. been on track with my elise and is a dream but on road the 190 needs to be really driven. ideally would love to keep it and also get the csl - but with a 993 in the garage somehow dont think wife would be too impressed !!!!!! how is the csl on the daily road run - i hear it can be hard work ?

CSL is fine on the road, just get a set of normal road tyres in winter and its fine for 12 months of the year. Drving in auto-mode on the smg when in town or on a dull motorway is a doddle!

do you think prices will hold up relatively well when the new m3 arrives later this year?
