My CSL is in getting serviced and the dealer has called to advise me that the foam spray is out of date. It's 4 years old even though the car isn't registered as being 3 years old until July 2007.
I'm being told I need to pay for it(£30).
Also apparently the coolant is in the situation.
Anybody beg to differ?
(This dealers got history of trying to rip me off before)

Might be right, all CSls were built between July and december 03, any later reg'd cars were just sitting in dealers until they were sold.

What does the service book say?

Will check but can't do so till I get the car back - after I have paid for the service.

Had a quick check for you - there are seperate sections in it for m-mobility and coolant maintainance but neither says how often they need doing.

Sounds about right to me - the tyre foam has a "best before" date printed on the canister. Presumably it doesn't function effectively if left much later than this date. Mine also needs replacing at the next service....

For the sake of £30, it's added peace of mind should you need to rely on the foam.

Well since the service was cheaper than expected I'm not going to bother arguing the point anyway.
