Anyone tried the Schroth kit? I really find the moving around in the seat annoying/distracting. I have a GC-lock which helps, but I think this is the next step.

Any experiences???

Simpson do it for £75+VAT

No headrests for the harness to go under on the CSL so not sure how good it'd be in a crash, Thorney were talking about modding the CSL seats to have harness slots and doing a harness bar that bolts between the rear suspension turrents in the boot, fold the rear seats down (or take them out) and have proper harnesses on trackdays, normal seat belts the rest of the time.

I've emailed Simpson to ask whether they recommend it for the CSL. I'm desperate to get harnesses in mine, it's one of the CSL's biggest shortcomings IMO.

I ordered the above harnesses and when they arrived it said on the box not to be used on seats without the shoulder slots.

Do not buy.

I am amazed at the lack of thought BMW had when they designed these seats......not a clue.

i was under the impression that using a harness in a car with no roll cage is actually very dangerous.ive been told and theres a general consensus on www.bmwtrackdays.com that with a harness you are held in so tight that if the car rolls you have no movement at all and your spine can be crushed whereas with a normal belt theres still an amount of movement.
i have no cage yet and cant wait to fit harnesses
