Trackday harness
Discussion
Anyone tried the Schroth kit? I really find the moving around in the seat annoying/distracting. I have a GC-lock which helps, but I think this is the next step.
Any experiences???

No headrests for the harness to go under on the CSL so not sure how good it'd be in a crash, Thorney were talking about modding the CSL seats to have harness slots and doing a harness bar that bolts between the rear suspension turrents in the boot, fold the rear seats down (or take them out) and have proper harnesses on trackdays, normal seat belts the rest of the time.
i was under the impression that using a harness in a car with no roll cage is actually very dangerous.ive been told and theres a general consensus on www.bmwtrackdays.com that with a harness you are held in so tight that if the car rolls you have no movement at all and your spine can be crushed whereas with a normal belt theres still an amount of movement.
i have no cage yet and cant wait to fit harnesses
